Seat

An open-cell polyurethane foam cushion (density: 35 kg/m3; dimensions: 460x471x86mm), self-extinguishable according to legal prescriptions, is fixed to a high density MDF board, 10mm thick.
This set is covered with M-1 fireproof fabrics with an additional underlying M-1 layer, 5mm thick -shade to be chosen by the customer.
An anodized aluminium piece (450x450x5mm) with scotch finishing (abrasive treatment), 5mm thick, acts as a structural element of the seat. Steel plate side flaps (5mm thick) and cushion are fixed to the structure by means of metallic inserts and zinc-plated countersunk screws. Flaps enable fixing the seat set to side socket joints, determining the automatic folding system of the seat.
Marsilla seat includes a new generation of rotary dampers enabling the seat to function with a smooth mechanical motion, resulting in that touch of quality.
Seat folding speed is adjustable. Standard folding takes place within 5 seconds and a speed of 2,76 rpm, achieving a 83º degrees rotation.
The folding system consists of 2 socket joints and 2 supports. The left socket joint generates the automatic folding movement when the seat is vacated. This movement is achieved by means of a mechanical system consisting of a damping torque, a rigid steel cap and an auto lubricated nylon cap. The right socket joint is only acting as a structural element. The right socket joint support acts as a brake during the folding movement thanks to a rotary damper.

Backrest
Backrest consists of similar components to those defined for the seat.
2 open-cell polyurethane foam cushions (density: 40 kg/m3; dimensions: 546x180x30mm and 486x184x47mm, respectively), self-extinguishable according to legal prescriptions, are fixed to a high density MDF board, 5mm thick.
This set is covered with M-1 fireproof fabrics with an additional underlying M-1 layer, 5mm thick -shade to be chosen by the customer.
An anodized aluminium piece with scotch finishing (abrasive treatment), 5mm thick and 540mm wide, acts as a structural element of the seat.
Reference angle between unfolded seat and backrest is 102º, providing an excellent level of comfort.
Backrest structure is fixed to sidearms by means of lateral flaps and specific mechanized components.
Cushions are fixed to the backrest structure by means of metallic inserts and zinc-plated countersunk screws.
A specially designed aluminium profile at the top part of the backrest joins backrests acting as banister and aligning all seats in a row.

Sidearms
Sidearms are made of 2 plates of anodized aluminium (dimensions: 350x645mm) with scotch finishing (abrasive treatment), 5mm thick, and are fixed to an inner MDF (high density dyed mass finished with 3 layers of extra mat varnish; dimensions: 325x645x40mm) by means of metallic insert and zinc-plated countersunk screws.
Likewise, the socket joint supports are fixed to the MDF board by means of metallic insert and zinc-plated countersunk screws.
Armrests are made of injected semi-rigid black polyurethane foam with a steel support fixed to the sidearm structure. Seat numbers are engraved at the rear part of the armrests.
Fixing to the floor is achieved by means of a steel plate support, 10mm thick, with 2 solid steel piston pins (diameter: 25mm), and through which the sidearms are anchored and fixed by means of two countersunk screws.
Every support has two orifices for the seat fixation to the pavement.
All visible hardware used to fix the seat is made of stainless steel.
