Kokuyo Design Award 2009

El Premio KOKUYO de Diseño 2009 es una competencia de ideas de diseño con el objetivo de desarrollar las mejores en productos reales. Fecha límite: 10 de julio de 2009.

KOKUYO Design Award 2009, a competition where by it solicits design ideas from a broad range of ordinary users, with the goal of developing the best of these ideas into actual products. Designs will be accepted from April 10, 2009 to July 10, 2009.

Theme
Foundations

Needed most today are solid foundations:
Our families and friends, leaders we can trust,
Our beliefs, values, and identity,
The cause or purpose of our actions, and a reason for being,
The support for our basic needs, a place where we can live peacefully, a
rewarding workplace,
The water, air, and land that make all the processes of life possible.

We seek new designs for items to serve as foundations for future ways of life:
Safe and innovative stationery our families and friends can use;
Furniture that supports and enhances the energetic spirit of people we work with.
Things that prove useful in emergencies, things we can’t do without, Tools and objects that assists us and provides us with emotional support, Things that we feel joy in buying and continue to enable us to experience the pleasure we felt when we first acquired it.
In times of worsening economic conditions, surely there are things that are all the more vital to us than ever before.
Additionally, we are looking for items that are also meaningful in protecting the earth’s environment.

Dead line
Works must be arrived between April 10 and July 10, 2009.

Grand Prize: 2 million yen
Second Prize (4 winners): 500,000 yen each
Special Prize (5 winners): 100,000 yen each
